LT1 has forged eutectic aluminum pistons. Still not as strong as the LT4 stuff but 12 psi should be fine with a good tune and E85.

I dont think you need the F1, The D1-SC/D1-x will give you more than enough room

Interesting. But still I think the issue is the ring gaps themselves. I would be interested in seeing what happens if someone pulls the stock rings and gaps them properly what would happen.

So I'm thinking that I'm just going to go with the d1x. It should let me be able to push it pretty far with supporting mods. D1X good for roughly 700ish hp?

Well turns out I won't be going to Memphis tmrw after all. But we did swap out pulleys to the 3.7 and made 912/777 on 22.5 lbs
