I have an appt. this coming Monday for them to replace one DRL, My dim knob is upside down (need them to fix it so the lightbulb icon is not upside down), and check on Express Close for the sunroof.

Our Japanese product group writes specs like that. Makes validations more fun, lol.

Let us know what happens. Also, your dealer's service dept is open on Labor Day?

GM screwed this thing up. There are a few threads on this.
The owners manual lists the turn signal operation should be displayed in the HUD too.
But it does not.
The 5th Gen did, but the 6th Gen lost that feature.

This is probably the the reason.

Sorry but it shows no where that it has close express. If you see it, please show us.
from the manual:
Express Sunroof Operation
The sunroof can be opened without
holding the switch down. Press the
switch in the open direction until the
second pause. The sunroof will
fully open.
To stop the sunroof from moving,
press either the open or close
sunroof switch.
Press and release the back of the
switch to open the sunroof to the
vent position. Press it again to
express-open the sunroof. To stop
the sunroof from opening, press the
switch again.
A deflector automatically raises
when the sunroof is opened and
retracts while the sunroof closes.
If the sunshade is closed, it opens
automatically when the sunroof
opens past the vented position.
Caution
Forcing the sunshade forward of
the sliding glass panel may cause
damage and the sunroof may not
operate properly. Always close
the glass panel before closing the
sunshade.
To close the sunroof, press the front
of the switch and hold it until the
sunroof is closed. The sunroof will
stop if the switch is released. Close
the sunshade by hand.
The sunroof glass panel cannot be
opened or closed if the vehicle has
an electrical failure.

My manual states you have to hold to close also. We must have a different manuals than everyone else:

"To close the sunroof, press the front
of the switch and hold it until the
sunroof is closed. The sunroof will
stop if the switch is released. Close
the sunshade by hand."

At least the airbag in your Camaro won't kill you. Thanks Honda.

The 2016 Camaro manual only mentions express open. Waiting less than 10 seconds to close your sunroof is nothing. Convertible owners have no problem and wait longer.

True. But GM had that whole ignition switch thing so neither are clean.

Well for me it's more a matter of wanting something to work properly on a brand new investment - if it's a bad switch then it should be replaced, right?

That said, clearly it's not the switch and it is operating normally so I won't waste my time or theirs....that's why this forum is a great place for us to ask questions and get answers....

Cheers!

James

I want an option to express close when I shut the car off. That would be amazing.

The 2017 manual shows express close, don't believe the 2016 does.

The sunroof switch has a double click for both open and close. It will express open but it will NOT express close.

I had mine checked at the dealer and they gave me a print out form GM that says it does not express close. The manual appears to be wrong.

It is not likely a safety issue. GM has other vehicles that express close, my wife's equinox has express close.

It is something that should be there, but for some unknown reason it is not!!!!

The reason is not known, but it is implied...cost. Why not make the car out of carbon fiber and aluminum and unobtainium?
