I've been married to Shari for 43 years. I never knew what a "car girl" she was until I bought a 2003 Nissan 350 Z. She instantly loved the way it looks & gooooeeesss.

Whenever out on safe back roads, however fast I was driving she was looking for a little more juice.

One day I was up around 130 MPH on a two lane back road; telephone poles looked like fence posts. Shari looked out the side window seeing a nice green crop. She said, "Oh look at that beautiful scene.". I replied: "Ah, kiddo, I'm a bit busy to be looking around; I'll catch it later".

The girl loves speed and is particularly hyper when it is wrapped in Hyper Blue!

Hello,

The boss loves the Mighty HABU. She even worries about where we park it. I could count the number of times that we had gone out for a drive in the previous whips with just a closed fist. The 17 50th gets taken out for stoles just for the fun of it. She even puts 2 hands up in the wind when the top's down and squeals when I nail it under the bridges or tunnel. I even got her an orange scarf to keep her hair from blowing too much. I knew she was into it when she put her favorite sun glasses in the glove box. Those go well with the broad smiles she gives to any who take interest in our passing by. We have had a lot of discussion about dropping a 376 (hot cam and head crate motor) into it. She'd rather I save up for a truck and trailer to haul a COPO to the track. Don't mess with a street rod, says she. A COPO would blow everything you could build away. Love that girl. I knew she was a keeper when she bought me a motorbike back when we were dating in high school.

Many have done as well; few could do better than to marry a West Virginian. Those chicks dig their men.

Bump...My wife has put up with my enthusiast leanings for a long time (married 22 years, dated for 4 years before that), from sportbikes to 2 different modded WRX's, to a BRZ once my kids were a little older, and now to the SS. It's a 2SS, and even though I haggled as best I could, it's still the most expensive car we've ever bought. (In fairness, I don't think she's ever taken the time to work out exactly how much money I dropped into my Subaru's...)

She likes that I like it, but is fairly indifferent, I think. She's actually a little jealous of a few of the luxuries, that are missing from her Mazda SUV.

She's a great catch..a viable marriage is about compromise, and she understands that this is how it manifests itself on my side.
