I was trying to work something with them as well with 1 out of their 5/6 2017 black 1le they have. Advertised price is just below 41k

I have a trade. 2016 Bmw 340i currently. Black book on their own site and kbb offer trade around 37-38k. Car is mint. 8700 miles on it. They wanna offer 30k. Loaded cars such as this one are selling for 42-45 on autotrader. Original msrp is 64k!

Edit. My experience sounds just like turbo j89's. Except mine was over the phone as I'm 6 hours away. They have like 10 2018 1le about to hit the lot(like 7 more black ones and none look to have pdr). I. Imagining we'll be getting calls back soon about they have extra "incentives" for us to trade on the 2017s. But I won't take less than 37 trade on my car. They've got a long way to go. The car is worth it. They just trying to screw people over

Just wait until the snow sets in, I stole my 15 1LE this way (sticker was 43k and bought for 36k DELIVERED 2000 miles away) or wait until the year end price slash, it WILL happen, then we will all be pissed off at GM for 6 months, rinse repeat. I paid 38k and change for my 17, so keep up the search

I used to work at Koons and now don't work in the car industry anymore as of June of this year out of my own choice. One of the things that I wish that they changed was the way they advertised. Their pricing SHOULD be inclusive of the destination charge. I was always up front with everyone before they even came towards the lot. In terms of the $599 processing fee, that's just the nature of business in northern Virginia, nothing intrinsic to Koons. Places like Sheehy have there's set at $699. Cross the border into Maryland and there's a state law against high processing fees - believe it's set at a certain amount.

I was also interested in one of their multiple black 1LE's. Same scenario as ag1leSS.

I'm active duty coast guard and reading through the military program rules, they can't charge me a $599 processing fee anyways. I believe i saw it limited at $75 unless the state requires a fee in a higher amount and all customers are charged the same fee.

All those fees are just profit anyways so if i tell them they lose $525 under the military program from their processing fee i'm sure it would just end up somewhere else like my trade or new car purchase. I didn't get far enough with Koons to even mention it.

Their used car manager is the reason why most employees are frustrated working there, including myself when I still worked there. New to the position and consistently lowballs. I recommend going to another dealer and CarMax and getting appraisals and bringing it back. If he doesn't listen, don't just walk, run.

Very nice deal you got for the 15 1LE. Do you have PDR on your 17?

You can bring the military discount sheet from GM but the place where they got you is "they must charge all customers the same processing fee." That's why many dealers say they don't budge on the processing fee but lower the vehicle price instead is that so when programs like these occur they can say "we charge all customers the same processing fee." Ask them if they will lower the vehicle price to make up the difference, but first bring the sheet to see what they say.

There's no tax reduction for trade-in's that i know of here in VA. I ended the conversation on the spot when they gave the offer on my car and decided to either shop a different dealer, trade-in elsewhere, or private sale my car.

The program rules are slight different depending on the program.

Most programs say:
A documentation fee is specifed in the applicable state law OR your dealership charges all customers the same documentation fee

for military, replace that "OR" with an "AND".

I've done some shopping around and unfortunately a $599 admin fee does seem to be the norm in NoVa for the general consumer.

I definitely recommend Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet. Dealers around here are notorious for lowballing incentives i.e. $2000 for Mustang incentive, and actually give you $1000. If they know you don't know about a particular incentive or program, that's where they try and reel you in.

I was actually scolded for telling customers about the entirety of incentives that they qualified for lol. I just kept doing it anyway. That's why I left the business. As a Marine Corps vet, dealer practices just don't sit right with my moral compass.

Thank you for your service to your country and to your customers on the lot. I'll check in with Becky on what's in stock. I just moved up from Houston a couple months ago and last time i was shopping she was much further. Only 500 miles now!
