Camaro with a Glass Roof?

I'm madly in love with 2014 Mustang Glass Roofs. I here wondering if there is a company out there that makes and sells a After Market glass roof for the 2016 body style Camaro.

Probably a bad idea, with all the crazy weather we have been having. One bad hail storm could make for a bad day.

I don't disagree but I have several friends with a glass roof on their stupid mustangs.. and we've had several hail storms this summer and they haven't had any problems.

I actually like this idea. In S. GA there is plenty of sun to be had. Having a sunroof now currently helps with lighting in the cabin of my RS. A full tinted glass panel on the top that blended the back window would be a beautiful sight. I bet all the complaints of claustrophobia would dispel as well.

Is it glass or lexan? I don't see them using glass in the roof. To answer your question though, I don't know of anyone that does it but I'm sure you can find someone that will do it for the right price. I'm sure it will be expensive to do.

It is the same type glass used in the windshield, and has to go through federal inspection.

If you want to convert your roof to the Lexan roof used in the Mustang I'm sure there's a company that will do it.

Or you can buy another brand new SS for the same price.

Uh, perhaps you didn't get my point.

Someone out there can do it, no question. But it'll cost you about as much as you paid for your car. Nothing is impossible it just takes money!

Better yet would be electronic darkening glass, so you could adjust the level of shading.

The reason the " glass" roof was only an 14 option was there was ot much of a demand for such an expensive option . A friend had it on his . His v6 , 6 speed optioned out at nearly 40k (cnd) & the roof was only available on high equipment units . It's to my understanding that you could not have one optioned out with the roof because by the time the roof was put on some cars ford had already decided to no longer offer it . Other then my friends car I have only seen 1 other with that roof . Also if it becomes damaged it can not be replaced .
