Trans Oil Line Recall....ALIGNMENT NEEDED?
I got my car back and the steering does not seem quite as tight as it was. The I usually leave it the Steering setting in Sport mode.
It is tight at higher speeds but seems a little loose at very low speeds. I noticed in the Bulletin for the Trans Oil Recall that the Rack and pinion bolts need to be removed. I have in a different thread that an ALIGNMENT was done to an owner's car after the recall job was done (the owner posted the pic of the invoice and the Alignment was on the same section as the trans oil line recall) Does anyone have any further information or insight on this? Thanks |

Tight and alignment do not equate, two different things.

My steering was off a little after the recall too. Not sure why they would have had to mess with that.

Rack and pinion has to be loosened or removed to do the recall from what I have read. After the recall my alignment was way off along with the steering wheel being crooked. I ended up having to have several alignments and eventually I had to have my rack and pinion replaced at 10k miles. I have no idea what they did but they messed mine up pretty good.
