Self /Auto Leveling HID Headlamps

Can anyone help confirm / find out that our cars have the self-leveling Headlamps feature / mechanism?

If I am not mistaken this has become a mandatory DoT regulation in some States.
In Europe it has been a mandatory requirement for many years already, whenever HID (AKA "Xenon") headlamps are fitted

Thanks

I dont believe we do, on any car I have owned that had auto leveling headlights you would notice it upon start up.

I found something here, which states that the Camaro has it (read the list of safety features), question if it is on all trims/ specifically on ours too:

Last time I heard, it was a legal requirement that cars equipped with HIDs have at least a manual leveling feature, if not auto leveling. So if there is no manual knob... then yeah, it has auto level.

On my last car it was subtle and you could easily miss it if you weren't keeping an eye out for it. Noticed it happening more when I'd stop for a bit in a drive-thru than on start-up.

Nothing mandated in the US for such a thing that I know off...

GM does do the Intellibeam automatic high beams, but I don't think any products have an auto leveling unless its a Cadillac, and I'm not sure even those have them.

Not entirely correct. If the light got less than 2000lumen then no self leveling feature is required.

considering that they have fixed alignment screws ... i would so no.

just ignore the people who think you're flashing them or driving with your high beams on. Soon they'll all have HID lights too and everyone will be acclimated to the sharp cutoff in brightness of the lights.

But looking at ordering the Headlamp Assembly, you have the option of buying them With or W/O Auto-Leveling. Something does not add up here

My 2017 2.0L Turbo European specification Camaro Coupé has HIDs but there's no self-leveling system: it's manual.

See you!!,
