I'm not a huge fan of the forced fuel efficiency built into the pedal. The first quarter inch or so almost does nothing, the first third is for minor minor adjustments in speed and acceleration, and then after that you can start controlling the car.

I prefer a more linear response. I find I don't need mechanical help with my controls to accelerate and maintain speed, all while remaining fuel efficient. How things are now, I can live with it just fine -- perhaps I'll learn to love it this way more -- but I am a big fan of the feel of input controls feeling perfect (yes the engine has to perform, output amazing sound, and feel good, but how the steering wheel, shifter, pedals, etc all feel contributes heavily to the perceived experience).
pedal do-nothing-ness is well documented.. I complained plenty. it is different for each of the modes.... Sport seems to be the best so I leave it in Sport all the time. I have M6 so gas pedal response changing for each mode is particularly annoying.

I have a 17 SS 6M and hate the gas pedal response. Real hard to drive smooth, and I've been driving manuals my entire life. Its just not linear. I've chugged a shift just because the throttle failed to respond...very annoying to say the least. If anyone finds a fix please post? Give me back the old cable set up any day.

This is one of the reasons I love my 2000 TA. Gas pedal hooked to a wire to a cam with a spring to the TB! Does the same damn thing every day regardless of driver and has 1 mode, GO.

Very common issue even with A8 or M6.

I am still breaking my new 2017 RS in with the A8 but the first 25% does not do much and in my first 400 miles only broke 4K RPM twice and I had to really step on it past 50% to do so. 25% throttle the car shifts at 2-3K RPM. I am yet to really stomp on it until it breaks in a little more.

Not sure if the LS/LT has it but I use competitive driving mode! No dead spot in the throttle! Makes the car much more fun.

just adapt your driving to go fast everywhere. Win win.

Tuning the car can help with the initial dead zone. There may still end up being a little hesitation though as the car resists downshifting to 1st gear when coming to a momentary stop.

A friend of mine put one of these on his 2016 Z06 and says he loves it.

Well this would explain why I've been chugging the occasional shift far more than I have with any manual in the past. What an unintuitive setup this is when youre accustomed to linear input. Gotta make a mental note of this next time I head out...just give it more gas even in town than I'm accustomed to.
