RPM Motorsports in NC was the first I believe to make a pass with nitrous. With a 100 shot and tire's they made a 9.98 1/4 pass. Not sure about any tuning.

That car was very stock, how much more stock we talking. Only had a tune and tires on that pass.
This car is pretty built also, not many cars out there with nitrous bone stock. https://youtu.be/vWhOOPmsLHo

Regardless there are plenty of them out there on nitrous even if they don't post up regularly on the forums.

You'll want/need headers and intake for sure, probably should add some pulleys and a cam/heads would be good to drop some pressure in the engine. Spraying a car is very hard on it, the better your engine is setup for it, the longer it will last. Though I'm a firm believer that anytime nitrous is involved, damage is being done. Definitely stick with a 75, 100, or maybe 150 shot. A youtuber with a C7 Z06 made 900+ RWHP and 1100 RWTQ on a Heads/Cam/FBO/E85/150 Shot. At that point, his diff broke and his clutch needed to be replaced. If it was an auto, a stall and a built trans and maybe more would need to be on order. I've got no first hand nor read experience on spraying an otherwise stock car. I'm sure there'll be weak points pretty quick, namely air flow related ones like intake and exhaust (headers). Good luck. |

If the set up is correct and tuning is correct nitrous is no harder then any other power adder. I ran a nitrous small block at the track and on street for years with zero issues. Probably ran over 75 bottles over ten years lol.

Yeah, true. If done RIGHT, nitrous is no different. Problem is I see a lot of cars not done right, spraying too much with poor tuning and they wonder why they have problems in a year.

One of our guys on the SS side ran 150 shot with no tune and went 10.69@130+. I would love to just run 100 shot to see if I can break into the Nines with my SS which has a Magnuson instead of the LT4 setup.
