I listened to your video. I would say yes. It sounds exactly like.

Concerning, I haven't taken mine to dealer yet, but I'm going to potentially on Thursday, car only has 4600km / 2800 miles.

It sounds metallic like mine does. Almost like piston slap or a piston hitting a valve or something. Listen to my video on the first page.

I'm more annoyed that I can't figure out what the damn noise everyone is talking about.

Yeah I watched your videos, the knocking sounds louder in yours then in mine, sometimes I have to struggle to hear it, but it's definitely there.

Little update. New dealer had to do all the diagnosis again. Deactivated each cylinder 1 by 1. Noise persisted.

GM wants them to do a cold start oil pressure test. Dealer didn't have the correct fitting so they had to order it.

Does the car keep making the noise long enough to de activate and listen to each cylinder? Mine goes away once warm.

My 16 Camaro ss A8 had the same sound and it was a full engine failure. They wrote it up as a lifter failed and caused other parts to fail. Now new crate motor in with less then 500 miles on it now showing signs of burning oil. Also has white smoke the puffs out when just normal acceleration from a dead stop. Temp seems to be normal but I'm thinking I might be heading towards water in the oil possibly head gasket about to pop.

Update from myself as well, service manager and foreman both heard the noise, they don't seem super concerned, said they're going to document the issue and that I brought it in, told me to monitor it closely and bring it back if it gets worse.

Also mentioned they want to add engine oil supplement on next oil change.

They must not think its a failing lifter then. Thanks for keeping us updated!

Yes I don't believe they think it's a failing lifter, but still advised me to monitor and bring it back if it gets louder or happens even when warm.

And yeah from what I understand it's an additive of some sort that, if nothing is wrong, take away the noise.
