I love how your supposed to give one car what it needs to perform at it's best ability. Then just say well your ZL1 can have a tire to which it might not be the MOD it needs.

So a stock Hellcat on stock tires is running 11.50-11.60's and the DR only picks it up 1.5 to 2 tenths? I'm seeing guys on Hellcat.org saying they are running 10.60's stock with DR's. Of course these are the best of the best times in negative DA and super prepped track!

I'm VERY interested in what these two do on the street lined up DIG racing old fashioned drag racing. Not just one pass but 5 or so runs both on equal tire.

I ran a hellcat Charger on the street Saturday night. Not from a dig obit from a roll about 35 mph. I pulled away from him about 2 cars up to about 90 mph. We just happened upon each other. I have no idea if it was A8 or M6 stock or not. We only ran once. I would love to run one 4-5 times on DR's and I'm sure it will happen but I want to see what I can do on stock tires before I change up.

I dont know of any Hellcat on factory tires running 10.60s more like low 11s with the summer tire option. Mine came with all seasons (not summer tires) so am I to be limited to those L0L? No way Im using those at the track.

Those mods with tires, great prep, and some good air will definitely see 10.6-10.8 pass.

From what I have read and seen at VMP 10:80-11:00s is pretty standard fare for an A8 DRs only, in good conditions.

"Stock" is as the car came off the showroom floor from the factory.
"Modded" is ANY change (not a replacement in kind) that deviates from "Stock" specifications including tire size, tire tread design, or any other change to the car that it did not come from the factory with. If you put OEM tires back on the car that is still a 'stock' specification vehicle. Replacement in kind is not a mod. Period. So, do these high hp cars benefit from a tire change? Of course. But is changing the tires to take advantage of better traction leave the car in 'Stock/As Built from the factory' configuration? Absolutely not. Parse the words or the justification any way you want but once you change tire size and tread design, your car is no longer 'stock'.
