Hope you get your car today. Like others have said, go talk to the GM.

A friend of mine picked up a 2016 SS vert this past February. The inside of his doors are missing paint, there is primer, but no paint. The dealer told him they could paint it, but it won't match (it's a black car). They recommended not doing anything. So that's what he did. If he hadn't pointed it out to me, I would have never noticed. But if it were my car, it would bother me.

It was the same for me. The inside of the door where the hinges are we're just primer. So was parts in the engine bay and the trunk. The roof had really thin paint. You can see the primer on the side. Probably won't notice it either if I never pointed it out. But just like you. It bother the hell out of me. Wasn't expecting to go on this horrible journey though. I have a mosaic black paint. If black is hard to match. Then I am a bit worried now.

Black paint on a black car won't match as well as primer?

mosaic black is very hard to match. You will notice which spots are painted. Don't even bother with mosaic black, but it cant be worse than just primer anyway.

Exactly. Rather have it painted instead of primer showing. Some spots near the door hinges. Didn't even have primer. Wish I had taken pictures.

Sadly no car today. The body shop wanted one more day to spend on buffing the car. Of course I was mad. But he apologize and actually told me what's going on. GM took a long time to give them the funding and was confuse about the paint problem. They never "heard" of a camaro with paint issues. So sent someone over to examine. Which took a long time. My dealership did not tell me this. The shop told me this today since I was really mad already. I had also ask to do some small touch up on the front of the car. The body shop said I will not be paying for it. Since it took so long. I am getting it tomorrow afternoon and hoping they keep there word. Still will talk to the GM guy. To tell him to fix the communication issue they have.

Finally got the car back today! Everything looked fine. Except the front. There was some paint that had some run off? Not sure. So it's going back to them for another 2 days next week. In the end. They apologize and will make sure nothing like this will happen again. They waived the cost for an additional repair I asked them to do. Which was $300. I guess that makes up for it. But I did realize that driving my own car felt so much better than a loaner. Even if it was the same car.

Thanks. I am just happy to get it back so I can enjoy it again. Plus I am suppose to be receiving my c7 splitter and side skirt soon. Having car parts laying around and not being able to install it would drive me crazy. Lol

You think after 106 years in business Chevy would have figured out how to paint a car by now.

One month is ridiculous even for a custom paint job.
