Road noise from front of the car

I am noticing a very pronounced whooshing sound at low speeds in the ZL1. Is this common with the wide tires? I can't remember hearing this much noise on the front end when it was new.

how many miles on it? Many times, tires have different compounds. The top surface (when the tire is new) is very soft and gives lots of grip. This rubber doesn't last very long. SO the second parts of the tire is a significantly harder compound. This is how they get the life (read mileage) out of the tires. Unfortunately, this can transfer more road noise into the driver's compartments. Not sure if that is what's happening, but I have seen it with many performance tires.

it's possible that's what it could be... there's tools to test it, but it isn't overly common for people to have a durometer.

Have you felt the edges for any abnormal wear? It often can't be seen, but can be there and cause a lot of noise. I'd almost expect a tire like this to start getting loud around that mileage.
