Another one of these threads lol

Diablo has always said their tunes are untraceable and don't increment the flash count.
I have never heard of a warranty being denied after being Diablo tuned.

if something were to happen(unlikely)you'd be on your own, of course.

I hate this saying but, "you gotta pay to play".

Stock tune for me personally. Once flashed, there's no turning back and it will always be in the back of your mind if you're the neurotic type.

Diablo: This gentleman stated they froze the flash-counter for their flashes and GM would only see their flashes to the PCM. This guy seemed a bit more knowledgeable and I left the call with a bit more enthusiasm for this device.

Update:
I actually went a step further and contacted a few of the retailers on this board. All were up-front and indicated if your going to tune there will always be some tell-tale sign of it. Whether its legitimate proof is always up for debate. The other noteworthy thing worth mentioning was that most tuners indicated non-significant performance gains with canned-tunes and was more about throttle response and shift-points. So right now I'm leaning towards neither the SCT or Diablo. IF and when I'm ready to tune I'll prolly do the HP Tuner route with flex-fuel as that sounds like a more significant gain.
I have tuned over 6000 GM products using SCT, over the last 7 years, Not one single case of a warranty being voided due to a custom tune, But still no way to guaranty it can never happen.

Your research is accurate about gains from a tune, Not much to be gained and even the big 3 are inflating they're numbers for sales.

GM did a Phenomenal tune on this car and left us Little room for improvement, other than torque management, fan settings, rev and speed limiters for minor gains.

I always say parts make the power tuning makes the parts work to there full potential.

Its always refreshing from the consumer side that vendors are forthcoming vs. just trying to sell you product. Thank you!
