Try asking over in the audio and video section. You'll have a broader audience to answer your question.

This Is a known software glitch from early on. I don't think it's been corrected. The USBs can come and go , it has nothing to do with your cord or anything else. If you disconnected your battery and reconnected it , that's all you can do , the next move is take it to the dealership.

The reason to disconnect the negative is to pull all the current out of the car much like you turn off your computer and turn it back on to reset it. Like "Ctrl-alt delete". Unfortunately the car still holds some current, it takes A bit of time for the capacitors to drain, so the longer you leave it off the better off you are..e.g. Disconnect before you go to bed , and reconnect when you get back up in the morning. Techs have a faster way to drain, they pull off both battery cables, then touching them together. That drains the car instantly.

Ok I'll try that I'll leave it off for the night..when I reconnect it do I try it right away or let it sit for a bit? Also I can only get to the negative side of battery and not positive. I really don't want the dealership to touch it

Let it sit for 5 minutes after you reconnect it up. When you go to start it, it will not start, it'll interrupt the start. like the battery is dead. try a second time and the car will start. All your settings will stay, except the HUD vertical position and door indexing. The driver display will tell you what to do to correct the door indexing.

Disclaimer: it may or may not fix it. It might be in your dash. This is just the universal reset method.
