Awesome build, congrats!!! I was curious if you could give a more detailed description of the power, of how the car feels under acceleration now.

Since this is essentially what I would like to do to my car, I was wondering how it feels compared to stock? How does the power come on now? Is it a night and day difference? How is traction? Are there are aspects to this you didn't realize until after the supercharger kit?

Any and all feedback you could give on the power delivery would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Random question, how hard was it to remove the front fascia?- I need to replace mine and the grill, was waiting until I add a blower and let the shop do it, but think I should give it a go instead.

The power is excellent. It comes on around 3000rpm and then pulls extremely hard. If you're driving it around town and are just cruising, it drives pretty much exactly as it did stock. When you nail it, it is a very big difference. Holding up off the line on stock tires is pretty much the same as it used to be which makes sense since the power level didn't really change down low. That said, once it hits it will blow the tires off in 1st gear. Second gear spins sometimes but not so much on a 90 degree day with hot tires. I am still running stock runflats but will be upgrading in a couple weeks.

There is nothing negative I have found that I didn't expect after installation. The only thing you need to get used to (if you have the race bypass valve) is the fact that the blowoff sound is LOUD, like louder than the exhaust I think lol. And if you're an M6 like me, downshifting and letting the car slow down that way, it sort of sounds like a street sweeper. I'm getting used to it now though and I kind of like it. It's controllable to some extent.

Pictures to follow soon. Heading out to clean the car now because it's embarrassing how filthy it is.

Here's a few pictures. As you can see some of the tolerances are pretty tight. If doing his yourself be sure to make sure the tubing is close to the fan shroud and away from the drive belt as much as possible. I've been checking after almost every drive and so far no rubbing. I do have to re-route the push connect line to the bypass valve just because I don't like the look of where it is, along with the boost gauge vacuum hose that I just routed like crap because I was trying to finish up for the night.

Me too! It's not that loud with the hood shut but you can still hear it just enough in my opinion.

Sounds great and the FMIC looks great in the grille as well. I am correct that you lost the bumper support for the front?

Thank you. I'm actually looking at the sema grill right now which should make the IC more visible. The piece you are referring to doesn't actually touch the bumper, it's more of a crash bar to mitigate damage to the radiator and such. There is enough room there that something could be fabricated rather easily if you weren't comfortable with it gone. Quite frankly if you hit something hard enough for it to smash into that support, you're probably pretty screwed anyways. But if it were a head on collision with another car or say a wall, it's still going to hit the frame there which the bar bolts to. Also I don't think that bar is quite as strong as it looks. I was surprised to see how light it is and how thin the sheet metal was that it is made out of. And as far as it simply protecting the intercooler, the stage 2 one sits so close behind it that it would likely get damaged anyways.

Long story short, obviously it's there for a reason, but from an engineering standpoint I personally convinced myself that it will be ok. Trust me, after removing your front fascia you will see that if you ever hit anything in the front, the entire thing is getting crushed anyway lol.

Sounds good! Did you end up going with helical gears as well also, any chance you could made a video of regular (below 3k rpm shifts) driving and a WoT pull?
