I can attest to this. My car is AWESOME!!!! Feel like breaking out into the lego's "everything is awesome" soundtrack. lol. But seriously my car is just above 600 to the wheels and I absolutely love it. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have forged pistons but so far after beating her up ALOT...... she is still AWESOME!!

If money is the issue i just don't get it. The money you spend to mod will be lost at resale. If you just spent the xtra and got a zl1 1le in the first place you would have a better car with warranty that retains more value. If it's a track car 100lbs on the nose is not a good thing. You more than likely won't be able to use the xtra power on a roadcourse anyway unless you are an expert driver. Just seems like a waste of money unless you just want a street beast and don't mind losing the mod money . Which some people have it so who cares. But if you do why wouldn't you just get a zl1 1le? If all you want is power save some dough and slap a nitrous kit on.

My question without sounding sarcastic for you is simple... If you have no interest in modding a 1LE or can't comprehend why someone wouldnt want to buy the ZL1 over the 1LE then why join the conversation? What constructive advice are you bringing to the conversation? Brother if its not for you then why knock, question or criticize someone who wants more from the platform. SMH

Your also going to kill the resale value of your car and loose all of your mod money should you decide to sell in the future. Hang in there a few more months and you will be able to pick a new ZL1s in the low 50s should the 20% discount be applied again at the end of this year.

im not buying this car to resell it lol. I'm buying it to enjoy it and drive the hell out of it. I can build my own zl1 technically be faster, lighter, cheaper and not have to worry about the insurance of a zl1. if when the day comes I get rid of it. whatever serious mods I have done can come off and be sold individually. will I lose money of course. but regardless if your cars 100% stock or nothing left from factory on it you're losing money. its a 1le not a Ferrari Enzo.

Probably best to stick to the original topic. The stock clutch will handle fine until it doesn't. You mention you don't have ZL1 money so I'd recommend not risking new platform parts you can't afford to replace. However, if you want to do it I'd estimate the half shafts will be the weak point initially if you plan on running it hard. Just like a blower doesn't make a 5.0 a GT500, this won't be any different. Keep your expectations realistic, assume the risk, understand you're running outside of design, and have a blast. If this is your daily and you can't afford the costs if the gamble bites you I'd say don't do it. Just my .02

Can we not have a conversation without feeling hurt? I already said spend the money if it floats your boat. I just think its a bad idea.
