Produce the SLIPS! Very simple.

Only one stock S550 has gone below 12.5 stock, not sure on S197 but can't be more than 3-4. I don't consider that the norm.

My friend Pat has had one S197 Coyote and two S550 GT Autos have all run 12.4s more than once and all of them stock. Slips may be posted in this and the 5th gen thread. So add three more to your total. Pat would never bother posting online. Old school racer.

I can tell you the secret is good air and seat time.

The 2018 GTs will run better for sure.

My wife's cousins boyfriends brother runs a 12.4 too. No proof but I heard that

Still not the norm for a handful of cars out of hundreds of thousands to <12.5 in perfect air in only one or two tracks in the country.

I don't own the cars or the slips, how do you propose I do that? Choose to believe it or not, I really don't care. I know what I've seen. I never saw a 5th gen SS tick under 13 seconds. Does that mean it isn't capable of it? Seriously why does it ruffle your feathers so much?

One stock S550? So because someone doesn't post on a forum it doesn't happen? Do you bench race or do you actually go to a drag strip?

Fraxum I'm sorry your thread about your rivalry and the trials and tribulations of your Camaro got mucked up. Don't stop posting updates.

And you can't really clutch dump the M6 SS @ 5K. There is this weird 5k limiter that seems to roll back timing if you try. I have tried some 4,500 clutch dumps that didn't go so well.

But you could be right if that limiter could be tuned out, stronger axles were installed, softer rear springs were installed, the rear camber was toed in, and the diff will take that. Not sure I would want to drive that SS around for fun though. The solid diff has a basic advantage launching the car. As for me I would rather have a good handling car with a manual for the most driving fun.
I went 11.6 with no tuning and stock suspension without the atco mod. There's a vid of a tire only SS going 11.59 on YouTube. Great air somewhere in November IIRC. And an SS picks up more hp from an e85 tune than a mustang. But less from a 93 tune. The gap would only grow apples to apples both cars only having e85, cai and tire. IMO

Btw forgot to tell you congrats on the new times keep working at it. But I'm sure you know you'll never run with another comparable car that has such a huge advantage in launch technique. If it were my car personally I'd get the launch rpm tuned/sorted. Get a big slick and some axles and see what happens. These cars are launching pretty hard stock suspension

No worries about mucking up the rivalry. Its all good. I like controversy. That is all part of the Mustang/Camaro history.

And I am excited about the 2018 GT. A fast car you can see out of. Am I a Camaro traitor? LOL I might be. I just hope Pat gets one so I can race him heads up again. Right now the only way I can stay up with him if I leave when we both stage.

I went to Atco last night....

The DA was +2,200 to +2,400 all night. A perfect night to try to get into the 11s. But mostly 12.1s with a 12.2 and a 12.0 to bracket the 12.1s. Once again the 60' is my nemesis. But the HP is there with the SS running 117 to 118.5 mph. I will be working on that 60'. Best of the night was a 1.887.

The racing was interesting. Twice I lined up with a Infinity Q50 with pumped up turbos dynoing around 475 to the wheels. 17 pounds of Boost if I remember. It takes meth to run boost this high. The car is definitely a mid 11 second car in good air. And a nice looking ride. Last night it was a 12.0, high 11 second car.

We ran twice with him winning 12.012@118.45 to my 12.109@118.57. This was in +2400 DA. We raced a second time with the Pro light at the tree left over from the last funny car license run. Here I treed him a bit and took the win with a 12.094@118.02 to his 11.949@118.78. Weirdly, even though his MPH was higher I was running him down on the big end. We never did get a third run as his friend had a heart attack on the staging lanes. They took him to the hospital. Hope he is okay!!

On my last run of the night I lined up with a new rare Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. The car was a stunner and with a 500 HP Turbo V6 also fast. I was excited about this run, my last of the night as the owner said the car has run a 12.1. Well this time he must of messed up somehow and I beat him 12.136@118.79 to his 12.513@110.02. Still it was exciting to race that car.

Notice famous Pat shaking his head. I can guess what he is thinking. "When will that youngster learn how to launch his car?"

These also was a young lady in the staging lanes with a black CA6 2SS auto. Great non color choice!. I think it might have been her first time out in the car and she ran fast @ 12.4. I didn't catch her name. But she might chime in here. I hope she comes back we need more Camaros representing.

Sounds awesome, you definitely get a nice collection of cars there.

I have yet to see a Giulia QF. I absolutely love them though, not sure on AR reliability but still excited for one nonetheless.

All cars in your pics look great. I would love to see that Q50 in person. Was it a modded red sport? RWD or AWD?

You definitely have the MPH to get into the 11's, surprising even with Atco you aren't quite getting there consistent.

I'm jealous that you get to the drag strip as much as you do. My work and family schedule keep me away. I'm hoping to make a few passes this fall with my Charger.

The drag strip is my social club working from home.

It was a base Q50, might have been AWD. He pulled a 1.794 60' on street tires. And auto I think. The guy said he had $15K in the car.
