Where did you get that price from? The OEM rims are cheaper than that.

I am keeping my stock wheels for daily driving. I would like high quality wheels in the future for just looking good. Along with having a set for track day.

My ZL1 1LE is built and as soon as it is ready, it will be on the track. Would love to have a track set up to save the OEMs for street.

Thanks!
You got it.

I believe he was looking at the Forgelines.
The Forgelines are a premium wheel.

They are really nice.
*sigh

They are expensive, but tons of race cars use the same wheels and they are built to last. There are tons of aftermarket wheels out there that will easily fail on the track and that's not only dangerous to the driver, but also everyone else around them.

There is a list of really good forged wheels that are well worth the price.

BC Forged
Forgeline
HRE

If you're looking for high quality wheels, then I'd be happy to introduce myself

We custom/tailor make each wheel set to order, specific to the vehicle that you order wheels for, so we can customize widths, offsets, colors and a multitude of other options. If you're looking for wheels that professional race teams use, then we've got a list of wheel styles that would be applicable in lots of custom sizes.

Exactly! More to this, wheels which are very cheap to make (Cast wheels), don't have the same elongation and toughness that a forged wheel has. What this means is, when a wheel takes an impact, cast wheels have a tendency to crack and split, whereas forged wheels thanks to the properties of Forged aluminum, will bend rather than crack and split, which can ultimately avoid a real scary situation. Once a wheel cracks, depending on the severity of the crack it could take the car out entirely, but with Forged wheels I've seen large crashes where cars can be driven off thanks to the wheels still being able to hold air. So you're completely right, the safety of others certainly is something to consider in combination with the driver of the car of course.

Now of course not everyone will want to or be able to afford forged wheels, but for those who fall under this category, I would still recommend that you go with a brand name that you trust and that has been around for a long time. BBS, Rays, Forgeline, all are solid wheel manufacturers that make great products. Of course I personally trust in HRE Wheels because I needed a strong, lightweight race wheel that can be made specific to my requirements since I have a widebody. Fortunately for me HRE was a perfect fit whereas BBS or Rays couldn't make a fitment specific for my vehicle.

Im looking at getting a set of 19" forgestar F14s with MPSS, then saving factory rims and tires for trackdays.
the pricing is reasonable, and they will look great on it.

so aparently forgestar doesnt have anything in 19" with the same offsets.
apparently the front wheels clearance diameter over the calipers causes issues.

possibly 20's would work, but it makes the tires super expensive (MPSS) as they would become odd sizes.
