Do you guys notice any bad Rev Hang?

Just wondering if anyone else notices some annoying rev hang on their M6's? Also, has anyone tuned it out?

Compared to my previous Mustang Ecoboost, the rev hang in this car is not that bad. Can you provide more information as to when you are noticing it?

Mainly after I rev'd the car up to around 2-3k rpm, engage the clutch, and take it out of a gear (mainly 1st and 2nd). The RPM's just SLOWLY and I mean SLOWLY go down.

Yeah, I noticed that too. You have to pause a little and wait for the revs to come down. After some experimenting, I realized that the rev hang is less noticeable if you shift at 2k. If you go above it, you will have to wait longer for the revs to come down.

I get that rev hang in my A8 if I rev the engine when sitting still.

Yeah, I also kinda figured out the algorithm the engine speed has, but it's still a pain especially if you do a pull and then want to downshift when the law is near you lol.

As well in my M6 when the car isn't rolling and I hit the throttle on neutral. Pauses at like 4500 rpm and SLOWLY decreases down.

This is by design...happens in both M6 and A8. When revving aggressively, the RPMs are maintained higher to be more responsive to the anticipated next press of the accelerator (for example, coming off the gas going into a turn and right back into it coming out, without significant loss of revs or need to downshift).

I think this will only happen in Sport or Track modes. Should not experience it in Tour or Snow / Ice.

Definitely seems to be intentional and only if the car is in motion. At low speed passing a friend and trying to throw a friendly engine rev his way i ended up with one long rev at the same RPM like i didnt know how to drive lol. With the car parked it Rev's as intended.

I notice it most when skipping gears (3-5 or 4-6). Seems to hold right around 2k rpm for me. By design, my guess is to make shifts 'easier'

For whatever reason it's designed that way, it's annoying.
I miss cable throttles.

I believe my car had this issue, where I mashed the pedals and something shorted with the belts (dealer didn't get into detail when I went in for service). My RPMS were moving all over the place and I can hear the engine speed hang, but that was fixed (maybe) lol. But what I'm experiencing is a little different, it doesn't hang in place for a while, but instead just goes down from like 4k to 2k rpms in like 3-5 secs.
