Just Back From Ceramic Coat

Just picked up the Zl1 from getting polished and ceramic coat. I loved this car when we bought it a few weeks ago, now I'm sleeping in the garage with it! If you are in or around Pensacola, Florida go see Juan Medero at Touch of Class Mobile detail in Pace, FL he'll give your ride the lasting shine!

I'm hoping the judge settles my divorce so I can order mine in 2 weeks.... Was it worth the money? I live in Atmore so I'd be able to take it to him

He gave the entire car a good cleaning and polishing and then applied Beeds HD ceramic treatment. The body, wheels, and brake calipers were coated. I think this setup usually runs $1200 to $1400, but I had something he wanted so we did some bartering. He did a great job, I can't believe how much more brilliant this color could be.

We have the same car!!
Now get the SEMA lights in the rear.
Here is mine after I coated it.
Over 1G for that seems very high to me, I might start doing cars on the side. LOL

Wow. Car looks great. This color looks phenomenal, but have never seen it in person. 1 of 2 colors I am interested in. The other being the gray.

I have a HBM ZL1 1LE. I went to a cars and coffee this weekend and another member here had his NGM ZL1. Both colors are great colors on this car. The biggest difference is the HBM will stand out and catch the eyes a lot more. If you don't want as much attention then go with the great looking NGM also. Love that color too. But then I also love the RH and the MBM. Ahhh!!! Too many great choices for a great looking car.

Twin Brother

Here's your twin...Ceramic Pro is what I went with. $1400 Canadian.

Absolutely love washing the car as the car beads like it was freshly waxed every time. BTW get the wheels coated as the brake dust comes off so much easier...$350.

Few thousand more you could go with xpel and be scratch, rock chip worry free. I had ceramic pro done on my evo x. Water beading was great for first few months but that faded. Wasn't impressed with gloss at all either. Could of been the installer, im not sure. Never again though. Supposedly you have to get it refinished every year or 2 as well. Few hundred bucks. Swirls still appear in finish regardless which essentially dulls the paint. Never again. With xpel warm water makes scratches and swirls disappear.

Here are some pics of a xpel sample sheet I had xpel send me. I wanted to test the stuff myself. Here are the results. Used moderate pressure with a legitimate wire brush. I then ran the film under warm water for like 10 seconds. Brand new again. I don't mean to thread jack but what xpel gives you for the money is really a bargain if you really break it down... if you are a detail oriented guy and really have an eye for things than this stuff is for you. Perfection. Never having to worry about those inevitable swirls, worry free from rock chips on thin paint. My evo x had thin paint and spent hours doing rock chip repair AFTER ceramic pro install. Totally worth money spent for full wrap. It's overkill so I have been told by many people but I'm worry free now. My OCD with paint is put at ease.
