Manual Transmission Fluid?

I had the fluid changed in my manual trans at the dealership.
Previous to this, I had considered doing it myself, and called the parts department for the specs. They told me the fluid was over $20.00 a Qt.
When I got the bill from the service it showed that the fluid was only $9.12 per Qt.
Fluid is labeled as : Fluid 8.800 N

After this change the shifting is not as good as it was from the factory. It also popped out of first twice.
Can anyone confirm that this is the correct fluid?

That part number doesn't make sense. When I search for it, it seems to correspond with 19293000 - ACDELCO DEXOS1 ENGINE OIL, 5W30 - 1 QUART. If that's the case, that's engine oil, not transmission oil. Did they change your engine oil too? If not, you have a major problem. I would call the dealer ASAP and not drive the car just to be safe.

EDIT: By the way, your manual ZL1 should run Manual Transmission Fluid (GM Part No. 88861800, in Canada 88861801).

I called the service writer and he says I got the correct fluid.

If the dealer f'd up, please name them so that they can be avoided.

since I already contacted the service rep and he says I got the correct fluid I guess my next step will be to call the parts dept. again and inquire about the proper fluid and see if I get a match or a discrepancy.

Thanks for the help!

your next step is go to another dealer and get it redone asap...

I would call them back and ask for the exact part number of what was out in the car. Then I'd explain that it's now popping out of gear and needs checked again.
