When i was younger and saw a hotrod car no matter what i was driving i would mess with them just to get them to jump on it so i could hear it roar. I get stop light rice all the time, I just go in launch mode and stare at them haha.. ease out on the clutch and short shift into 2nd. Not worth my time.

Most ridiculous car that ever tried you

A couple weeks back I was on my way from Pensacola to Tallahassee, Fla. on I-10 and a little Fiat 500 Abarth came running up beside me. He started messing with me for several miles,, slowing down, speeding up, cutting in on me. I finally had enough, so when he came beside again, I started keeping beside him. I let him stay beside me for a short distance, and he had a $100.00 smile on his face. That went away when I quit playing with him. A couple of miles down down I-10, when my sanity finally took control again, and I slowed down to the speed limit, the Abarth finally caught up beside me again. I just let him pass, he wouldn't ever look over at me.

Huh?!?

"0–60 time of 5.7 seconds and quarter mile of 14.4 seconds at 97 mph" - would take a LOT for that to improve to sub-4.0 0-60/sub 12 quarter...

There are more than a few EcoBoost F150s in the 12s. Also, if you find yourself in a tail chase, you've probably already lost. It requires a significant power advantage to reel someone in and pass them before getting to silly speeds, so anything that can run even low 13s who gets a jump on a Camaro SS is probably going to 'win'. A fair fight from a standing start is a different story of course.

Dodge neon srt4. The rediculous part is, this kid has been going around harassing locals lately. Including me, in my Kia forte5 SX a few weeks back. I ate his lunch in that car then, he doesn't have a chance against the ss now.

I guess I assumed that "being spanked" meant the F150 was steadily pulling away (faster in other words).

Driver mod can also play a big factor on the streets. For example my well driven ls3 5th gen has taken down quite a few S550 GTs which is a faster car. Lost a few as well. I'm not surprised if he couldn't catch the truck if he got a good jump. Ecoboost isn't a slouch in that truck for its size.

I don't get many light to light attempts from anything ridiculous, but people in bland sedans and minivans like to ride my ass on the highway even when I'm doing 10-15 over. I usually slow down to exactly 1 mile over the limit and let them stew for a while, then let them pass me. On a few rare and wonderful occasions they've served as sacrifices for the speed traps ahead. It's even more hilarious when they blow by me and then I get an alert about the cops down the road on Waze.
