Weird RPM "blipping" without hitting the gas.

I've been noticing weird rpm blips or spikes even when not pressing the gas. It would blip really fast up about 1000 rpm then back down to what it was originally. It happens at low rpms and today it did it at around 4000 rpm as well.

Here is a video. It only did it once here but sometimes it does it multiple times in succession

Is it just the gauge that does or is the engine actually jumping up as well?

Looks like the gauge is twitching but doesn't sound like the engine doing anything. There are a few threads on here about possessed gauges... Mine freaked out on me one time for no reason.

Yeah just the gauge. The engine remains the same from what I can hear.

I mean, I did have my iPhone connected through Bluetooth, but that's such a weird response for just Bluetooth, to have the rpm spaz out. Guess I'll have to bring it to the dealership

Yeah I seriously doubt it has anything to do with a phone connection. They're just making stuff up cause they don't know.
