Dual exhaust mode valves

It is my understanding that the dual mode exhaust valve is to always be open when in track mode, can anyone confirm this?

Kinda....they still shut at interstate speeds...even in track....if you want them open 100% of the time, you need to pull a fuse. Search.........

I noticed zero difference after pulling fuse, even at highway cruise. I'm the outcast I guess.

Why do they close at interstate speeds? Even on the track?

I think pulling the fuse has made changes at more than just interstate speeds.

Since pulling the fuse there is actually crackling and popping occuring in track mode where before I didn't have this with the fuse in. You can sit in park and gas up to 2000rpm and release the pedal, crackle pop. Do a semi hard acceleration and let off the gas around 32mph, crackle pop. It's a major sound improvement imo.

Of course if you have the windows up all the time you aren't really gonna hear much of anything. Folding the back seat down helps a little with this. They really went all out on keeping the cabin stealthy quiet.

I pulled the fuse, pulled the back seat completely out, and had an upholsterer create a thin foam and carpet overlay for the missing seat. Sounds amazing! Snap, crackle, pop!

I pulled the fuse, observed for two weeks, then put the fuse back in. Not much difference to my ears.
