My car is at the dealship as we speak. It's an A8

Going on holidays and will pick it up on the 8 of August. And I will post dyno numbers hopefully that week or at least soon after. Street tune at dealership by my tuner.

My cost so far on parts with taxes/shipping $3,400.00 (GM hotcam and CNC heads)Canadian funds. $300 on gasket parts.

Dealer is charging 25 hours at there shop rate $139 per hour CDN funds.

Tune depending on your tuner. My first tune was $905 all in. Next tune don't need the licence fee so $250 off cost. Street tune is $400.

MY DEALER IS COVERING EVERYTHING UNDER WARRANTY, AND I GUESS THE SHOP RATE HERE IS LOWER. I HAVEN'T GOT ON A DYNO MIGHT NOT FOR A WHILE. ITS MY DD AND NOT REALLY THAT INTERESTED IN NUMBERS. BUT RUNS GREAT AND HAS ALMOST 15,000 SINCE INSTALLED. ROLL RACED A STOCK 6TH GEN VETT AND A 5TH GEN ZL1 AND GOT BOTH OF THEM BY 1-2 CARS UP TO 125ISH. BUT DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH FOR A HELLCAT BUT WAS CLOSER THAN I EXPECTED. I THINK WITH A PRAY PORTED INTAKE AND TB, A ROTOFAB CAI
AND E85 I WOULD BE PRETTY CLOSE

Did you require a tune? Additionally, did you use the stock tune or after market?

Sorry, I didn't read all of this. How did the numbers turn out? I flowed the heads so I am very curious to see what kind of power they made. Thanks.

I wonder what the LSA is for this cam given the 228/248? I am thinking it must be at least 116 and maybe 118, given the way the car idles.

I just heard it is a 110 ICL but have no idea what the LSA is. It is crazy that GM thinks the exhaust port sucks so bad on this head that they need a 20* split. It is starting to look like 228 on a 110 ICL is all that will fit at stock compression height. You are giving up a ton of DCR that way. It makes sense why aftermarket cams have horrible tq numbers and don't really come on till 5K or so. I really wish GM would have given us some intake valve reliefs to work with on this. To maintain stock DRC with a 228/110ICL you need about 12.7 SCR. Scary isn't it.

The only problem I see with combining the GM hot cam and GM heads is that the GM intake ports are barely better than stock on my bench but the exhaust port is pretty good. So now the cam is way out of spec IMHO. That is why I would love to see a dyno graph for this combo.

System complete with CNC heads, kooks headers, and gm hot cam.

Two weeks or so will get it dyno to see numbers

And after running it, way to loud with current exhaust set up. Outlaw mufflers for touring and straight pipes for track. So I have order some flowmasters for straight pipe.

Wow. I thought mine was loud with the headers through stock exhaust.

But it does sound sweet. Awesome. Congrats.
Love your ride!

Thanks man, do you have any videos of yours? My friend is going to do a build too and keep stock intake, which I advised him to change. The high ram when it's cruising sounds really sweet. The exhaust guy has a blower nova and thought it sounded like a blower under the hood. I am happy with build, a few more things. lol. Does it ever end. No.

Sounds really more nasty in person, the iPhone does not do it justice.
