3M Vinyl Accent Mod Underneath Front Headlights

So I've started to see the trend of putting black accents underneath the front headlights on 6th gens more and more on social media but I was wondering if it'd look just as good if it were a different colored accent? I've been thinking of doing those same accents but in red to match the color scheme I have going on for my car. I will note that I have full length rally stripes which is why I'd like to get some honest feedback before I attempt getting this done. Bottom Camaro is owned by @TopHatPlus on instagram.

Cheap mod. Id say try it and see how it looks. If it doesn't look as good as you thought it would, peel it off. I think it may look nice.

Agreed. Less than $30 easily for the vinyl and some knifeless tape. If you hate it, trash it!

I bought two 10'x1' rolls, I needed both because I messed up the first time around

Install tip, I found using the squeegee difficult in such a small space with many curves, I used my thumb to slowly roll it flat with good results

I like the black. It reminds me of the 3rd gen and pre-refresh 4th gen. I like the throwback.

Stripes

If you do it, do it right and follow the original strip design. Here is a mock-up how it should look.

It took me a minute to figure out what you meant, but I agree. Only go as far as the rally stripes and round the edges to match. I don't have them, so mine was a little easier.

But then again op has custom stripes, in which case I would go to the lines on the bumper like mine

On the bottom bumper how far did you bring the tape up going up on the bumper by the grill? I don't see a place on mine to for a good spot to stop[

I have a summit white and I would really like to do some black pieces on the lower part of the front bumper (like the pic of the red car above that looks to have black carbon fiber).

Should I just get some from Amazon? What brand do people recommend? Also toying with doing the roof in black but i'm not sure I'm skilled enough to deal with the antenna.

Maybe I should just have someone do it! LOL

I really like seeing the black accent below the grill area. Headlights i'm on the fence still. Maybe too "busy" for me, but I can appreciate what all are doing to customize their rides. Anybody have a template?

BTW to the OP, i would not do anymore than what you have. I think it would be too much IMO. I'm not even sure I like the black under the headlights on the red car, but the black on the lower grill looks sick!
