The wing creates 300lb of downforce.

I was curious about this as well, because I heard them mention that they had to reinforce the trunk for the wing.

I think that's actually the aero package as a whole, not just the wing.

Might be just the wing, I know I heard that too. However, that number means little for this discussion unless we know a few other things:
1. How much down force does the standard ZL1 spoiler make at the same speed?
2. What exactly is the speed to down force curve? How much does it produce at what speeds?
3. At what point does the structure fail?

Without empirical data, this is all just a bunch of nonsense. Like someone saying, "I heard they can catch fire" - so we all panic and go, "Oh no!!".

But without the front aero flick ups directing air towards the rear wing you won't get maximum downforce.

Ok so as of right now all 6th gens with any of the factory spoilers use the same part #, so if i take the liner off and there is no added parts you guys will be good to go.

FWIW, a gentleman at ACS composites said he had to research it, and the trunk lid part number from a 2017 ZL1 are the same as a 2018 ZL1 1LE.
