I use a combination of Chemical Guys v-line of polishes and then seal with Black Crystal Seal

Carpro CQuartz and maintained with Hydro2 and Reload. Polished with Meguiars D300 and M101 for the deeper swirls and final polish with Menzerna SF4500 (I forget what they call it now)

Every paint color is different also. I think that MY car looks better with wax than with the coatings I have used (Opti and Chem Guys.)

My personal experience is that coatings last 3-6 months in the real world. They are expensive and difficult to apply. The longer it lasts, the more difficult it is. High end wax cost <$5 per application. Heck Chemical Guys coating is $150!

Don't get me wrong, I will put a coating on for a paying customer who wants it. I also use spray on/rinse off silica sealants McKee's Hydro Blue and Gyeon Wet Coat for regular customers. THey will give good protection for 3 months.
3-6 months i would imagine is for a daily driver, but mine only sees sun and the only water it sees is from the hose. I'm hoping mine lasts much longer than that with the occasional applicaiton of Gyeon Boost but to each his own!

IMHO, it's all in the eye of the beholder. I think my car looks best with wax, in fact, 3M Synthetic Wax, TO ME, looks the best.

I'm going to be rubbing on my car every few weeks regardless, it's what I love to do, so longevity on my personal vehicle is not a factor.

AS far as wax in the hot sun goes, try this: take a small piece of 100% carnauba wax and set it in the corner of your rear windshield and leave it in the hot sun. The carnauba chunk will not melt. Carnauba has the highest melting point of any natural wax.

In this case, I bought some 100% carnauba wax to use on a customer's vehicle- his specific request. So I tried some on my car. I polished with Sonus Pre Wax Cleanser Polish before.

Pinnacle Souveran is yellow carnauba- the highest grade. Good stuff! It is expensive at $50 for 3 oz. but only the best right?!?!

Wolfgang paint sealant 3.0. let cure. On my Garnet red Camaro I use Poorboy's Natty Red on my bronze mist Caddy I use P21S. Both just wipe on wipe off, easy to use and they give you that dripping wet look. Meguiars gold quick detailer in between.

Ceramic coat /thread lol. I used the Adams do it yourself ceramic coating kit and have been very pleased. No more wax/sealant/detail spray, just ceramic "boost" every couple weeks and waterless wash for touch ups.

I have a shelf full of detailing products.... By far the best shine I've used is s100 carnauba wax, its the same formula as p21s but s100 is marketed for motorcycles and cheaper while p21s id marketed for cars.... they're the same

Never tried any ceramic coatings

I use Topcoat's F-11 on my 2016 Camaro.
The deep shine is unlike anything else that I have used.
I did the windows also, rain just slides off as per the rest of the car..
Bugs just wipe off with a micro-fiber cloth. All I do is just wipe off the car.
I only have one coat on the Camaro at this time, but plan on applying another
coat at the end of the month. The photos below show what the car looks like after two weeks of driving. I have not washed the car as of yet....
