Meh, I have no problem with losing the V8 so long as the performance stays linear or increases, and range doesn't decrease. It'll happen at some point. I love the sound of a V8 but it's not a necessity. And it'd take something pretty spectacular from Ford or Dodge to get me into one those products. Not a fan of either post '70.

The HP is there matching the old small block engines, but the V6 still can't touch the torque they put out. But they make up for it is some cases with modern transmissions and electronic fuel delivery adding to the efficiency of mileage and putting the power to the ground.

I will stick with whatever brand continues to offer RWD, V8, and a manual trans. The only non V8 I'd consider (off the top of my head) that's under six figures is an ATS V and that would only be if I felt I absolutely needed a sedan. M3/M4 would be one as well if they didn't sound like complete crap.
