Same as any wax.
My experience is that the sooner you wipe wax off any undesired surface, the easier it is to remove. The longer it dries, the harder to remove.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. Clean / prep the surface, apply to entire vehicle and buff off. Let it cure 8 hours no water contact and top it with Wolfgang Füzion paste. Both very easy to apply and remove.

Optimum Car Wax. It's a spray wax. It's fast, it's easy, protects wells and durability is pretty good considering my car is not garaged.

Wax is dead, much better products out there that are easier, better, and produce much better gloss. Silica paint sealants and ceramic coatings are the best that is out there today. Check the cosmetic maintenance section.

My personal experience is that coatings last 3-6 months in the real world. They are expensive and difficult to apply. The longer it lasts, the more difficult it is. High end wax cost <$5 per application. Heck Chemical Guys coating is $150! Don't get me wrong, I will put a coating on for a paying customer who wants it. I also use spray on/rinse off silica sealants McKee's Hydro Blue and Gyeon Wet Coat for regular customers. THey will give good protection for 3 months.

Wax is dead here in Florida. In the heat, sealants last much longer.

I used to use waxes, but i just put 3 coats of Gyeon Mohs on my car and washed it for the first time yesterday.....OMG! Water couldn't run fast enough off the car. I'll never have a car that I don't use a ceramic coating like this IMO. Amazing. I posted a video on my instagram page....not sure if I can post it here but i'll try.
