Here is my 1LE same track a few weeks prior to your outing. The track is a blast.

Very nice your car has some get up and go. Although you were powering through the corners much faster, your acceleration on the straight line looks like it would destroy my standard to SS.

My car isnt stock either so not exactly apples to apples. Can you believe Randy P ran a lap 7 seconds quicker than mine. In a BONE STOCK CAR? I guess there is a reason we all have normal 9-5 jobs and he drives for a living

Funny I tried to hold myself to Randi level as well.

your Fear Factor is much lower than mine. I'm still fighting the fear of speed. You can decrease your time drastically. Just be a little bit smoother on the throttle every time the nanny's kick in it's slowing you down, and if you analyze the video you can see it's because of the quick punch to on the throttle. Smooth that out and I think you'll drop a few seconds automatically

Be careful as adrenaline also masks the first stage of Heat Exhausting/Heat Stroke. Happened to me a few times.

Make sure you're hydrating. I FORCE drink a bottle per run and monitor my output.
Clear=Good
Yellow=Bad, not enough Hydration

This ↑↑↑ .

Maybe even con you into thinking you can suck it up and run just one more lap or one more autocross run when you shouldn't be out there at all.

Long story short, experience can be a harsh teacher indeed. I know all day out in the sun at 86° puts me at risk. In serious trouble at 96°. Don't even want to think what 106° might mean.

Guys - be careful with this. Your tolerance for heat stress diminishes with age and the number of significant heat-related episodes you've accumulated.

Well, I went out for the SpeedSF Challenge on Monday and learned a valuable lesson. Saving your 'good' track tires for the event may not always work out for the best. I struggled all morning trying to get the most out of my old shoes and qualified for the 'race' in the 4th position with a 1:57.50. Thinking I'd be all sneaky-like, I changed to my new tires in 105 degrees knowing nobody else would be that stupid. Man I stunk like a rat after sweating my bearings off. Anyway, the damned separation at the start of the challenge was ridiculous! I think the front car had a quarter mile on us. So, with new shoes on I started picking them off, one-by-one...only to be red flagged the minute I had a clear track...hahahaha

I swear I learn something every time I push the ignition button. Still pretty happy with the 1.57 on street tires though.

autoX from this weekend at miller park with the milwaukee scca. my first event with the strano parts sway bar on the car, and took a few runs to get used to it.

This was my fastest run in the morning, gopro issues means i didnt get my fastest run of the day. 58.442 was this run, I had a 57.954+1 and ended up with a 58.048.

Another hard fought battle in F street. Ended up 2nd by .1 in class and 3rd on PAX. Just cant get that illusive local win yet, though I cant complain my competition in the class is probably picked to win FS at nationals this year and is a top level racer and good guy. you wana get better you gota race the best!

Well if it were me, I'd be saying 'what cones'?

There wouldn't be any left on the course.

There were quite a few students on the track and we were warned off from tailing anyone too closely. There is a ton left in the car, can't wait to build up to it and see what it can really do out there.
I would pay a bit attention to Turn 1 and Turn 5a-5b at Pacific Raceways. Ridge and ORP are also other great tracks, if you've never been to

Car pulls like crazy on 3rd gear, I will eventually modify the engine (hopefully GM head and cam package down the road) if the torque can be a bit more flatter after 4500 rpm (like an LS7) this would be the "perfect" car
