So I went though the top of the seat where the handle is.

Anndddd... its right where the diagram said it would be, we have a fan up top, so two fans per seat

So I pulled the lower seat fan and tried some simplistic ways of getting the fan to spin but unfortunately that did not work.

My Goal is just to hook the fan up to a switch bypassing the BCM.

So I hooked it up to an Arduino Uno to feed it a PWM signal. Lower duty cycles it spun faster which is interesting... need to figure out a more elegant solution than stuffing an arduino under the seat.

Is there not a company that makes a fan that isn't a PWM controlled fan?

Just something interesting that I saw - That GM Parts Guy has the Recaro seats listed for sale now and states that if you already have heated/cooled seats that these will be plug and play. We obviously knew this already but just in case anyone had any doubts its "officially" out there now.

You can purchase the same fan but in two wire form (no pwm) but you need to take the seat half apart to get to the top fan. It's cheaper to try to get the fans already in the seat to work worst case swap the fans out with two wire versions.

555 timer is all that's needed if not wanting the factory switches. Of course you still have to make the CB. Plenty on ebay for cheap, then just mod.
Check your ratings and order. I used to have writen somewhere.

Yep! Thanks I was looking at 555s for a little but but then found a chip LTC6992. I can control the duty cycle with a 0-1 V input so im creating a voltage divider with a pot from 5v to obtain that, and that will be the user controllable fan speed.

Ill post a diagram and parts list once I confirm it all works.

...or sell the kit yourself if you have the time to juggle orders. I'll definitely be one of them as well.
