Wonder how long GM allows the (very very slow) bonded shipper to actually deliver the vehicle. Maybe that contract should be re-negotiated.

That is ridiculous! Hope GM is able to dock the shipper some money for taking so long.

Check your cars for hail damage when received. I was informed that there was hail today in the Mid-West.

Ok my dealership e-mailed me and said they got word from the district guy on why my car has not shipped yet. Here is what the district guy told the dealership.

"I've heard back from logistics and they are working to see if we can get this unit moved up in the load status because these units are having to be set up on a "special move" which means they are shipping direct to you. They are to low too ship via rail car so this has delayed arrival. It was on the initial start up quality inspection that we put most vehicles through on a model year change and given this is a unique vehicle and an SRE order type, that added to need to inspect each. Once I get another update I will advise but wanted to let you know what the delay was"

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that! I'd be willing to go up and get mine.

Interesting indeed as my dealer has stated that it's coming all of the way to CA on a car carrier. I found that hard to believe but, perhaps there's something to that.

This may explain why my car was 4200 for a short period of time and then went to bayed. This will be part of the legend "too low to go by train".

I sent a Maranello Ferrari to Arizona from Florida and the cost was 1200 bucks.
It was an enclosed trailer with one other car.
I doubt if GM would let you pick up your car though as it most likely needs to travel through their pipeline and be accounted for in their normal system.
Too bad. I would take control of delivery in a heartbeat rather than have it sitting on an open car carrier making its way all over the country for weeks.

I am trying to find out where my car is now.
No luck in using the chevy's website to track the vin number so I guess I will call the dealer and ask the salesman tomorrow where is the car and when will it get to your dealer.

Mine is still at the plant. It has not been put on a truck to be delivered yet. I know some have been shipped by Truck and have been delivered. Not sure why mine is still setting there. I asked the dealership to check on why it is not on a truck yet. More to follow.

I just talked to my dealer today. They told me the car was built a week ago and it is now near the factory in quality control. He said they know the car is already sold and that makes them move faster sometimes but other than that he did not know how long it would take.
So, How else can I follow where the car is?
I am in Florida.
Thanks
Gary
