Yes, i had the same thing happen when I was filling up the tank. Guy comes up and asked me what fifty was, he liked my wheels, and with great pride I explained it was 50th Anniversary edition. He stayed looking until I started her up, got a thumbs up when she growled.

I hate sometimes going to Costco for gas because I always get stared at and people come up to me all the time.

After owning my car a little over a year, the compliments and whatnot have gone down substantially from when the car was new. I was one of the first, if not THE first in my city with a 6th gen, and got lots of compliments and challenges from those skeptical of the 6th gen being superior to the 5th gen by as much as it is, but now that more people are grabbing their own 6th gens and slapping on more power adders than I have been able to, and with the release of the 1LE and ZL1, the compliments and challenges have died down quite a bit, which is fine by me lol.
Still, based on the flirtatious smiles and stares from some ladies, I know I'm still getting panties moist, which is fun lol.

***holes in an Escalade threw 2 fountain drinks at me on the highway... I passed em after getting on the highway together (albeit they were going 20 so I passed getting up to the speed limit of 65) then they got mad and started tailgating me... I saw an opening got over to the other lane and braked so I got em in front of me so they threw drinks at me. Thankfully I drive in sports mode and dodged both. Got a little splash on my windshield but no biggie.. I'll just give her a quick wash tomorrow...

Usually I get someone asking about the car every other time I fill up. It breaks necks on the freeway too, anyone from teenagers to 50-somethings look as they pass/get passed. I think our cars have much more presence on the road than the competition

I get nothing but compliments from literally everyone. People driving past will always tell me they love it or if I'm just getting gas. Girls especially like to come up and say I have a nice car

There isn't a day that goes by when I have her out that someone compliments the car..Even when she's dirty. Most conversations are had at the gas station while filling up and once in a traffic jam on the highway. Top down driving seems to be the green light there.

A friend of mine who I hadn't seen in a while got to see my car yesterday. He was pretty excited about it and wanted to sit in it and he only had good things to say about it. I remember telling him I was going to get one last time I saw him, so that was neat.

It's so cool to own one of these Camaros, they look great and really do have much more of a street presence than most other vehicles out there, even the V6 6th Gens look damn good. Then again most cars out there are so bland and boring that it's ridiculous, they don't sound good, they're in boring colors and frankly many are just plain ugly.
