You can, but the Camaro leases out terribly so I would just buy one. And I'm a person that loves leasing cars.

Thanks Eric. When you say terrible, how so? I have never leased a car before. Always just bought.

When leasing, you generally want to find a car that holds its value well and you can get a low money factor on. Camaro is neither of those. |

Thank you again. I must say I am VERY surprised a car like the ZL1 does not hold its value well.

Technically, all vehicles can be leased but it depends on the dealership and if I am not mistaken, lease is done on a dealership basis and not every dealership will allow a lease.
It's not a deal via GM. Because: Dealership flat out buys the vehicle from manufacturer (invoice) then they choose to lease (basically rent lol) it OR to sell it. Some don't ever do lease on performance vehicles, some do. Per dealership basis. When you go into the dealership and order a vehicle, dealership basically tells GM to build that car and is considered a "sold order" since dealership isn't getting it build for themselves but the customer. Financially speaking lease is a horrible idea. UNLESS, your work actually pays for it. Many jobs that require travel (like sales for a specific district) do give X amount of extra money on your paycheck to cover transport related stuff. Some do per DM, some just give fixed X amount, some just get the lease for you. You'll always lose money on lease. But there are pros for it as well... Not just cons :P Like getting a new car without taking a bigger hit every year/2 years as you would doing with a car you OWN. But at the end of the day, it just isn't financially worth it. |
