Installed mine and drove it 3-4 days before dropping it off for the tune with no issues.

Just picked it up from having the tune done - very happy for the price, like others have said, seems more responsive and a little quicker by seat of the pants.

What kind of price reductions ("jobber cost") are we getting below MSRP from local dealers?
Thanks!

I asked Al about the tune for the GMPP CAI after he signed my 50th at Fest. He said that the tune does change the air/fuel mixture to make more power and the block could get hot without it. I'm scheduling the tune with my dealer tomorrow.

I was glad you asked that question while he was signing our cars. Very great info.

Also the filter for those who do or do not know. I got confirmation that It is a dry filter not a wet filter.

+1. I wasn't really concerned about the tune until he told us that. Now I have to let the dealer's tech foreman, which is the only one I'll allow, in my baby.

Yes you can hear a nice difference in sound. It made my car sound noticeably deeper and with more crackle pops lol especially after the dealership putting the tune on it. Car idles smooth now, seems to shift quicker, pulls a lot harder top end and low end torque seems to be up a bit as well. I would get it from thatGmpartsguy.com Great price and he ships fast

Have you done this before you spend $400+? If all you want is sound, it is a noticeable difference.

According to the people I spoke to at CamaroFest this weekend, They are just waiting for the paperwork and could be about 60 days out. On that same note he said that going forward all parts will be 50 state legal. That its too many resources having the 37 and 50 state parts.
