Yes, this was with the MSD. The plan was to get it dialed in with nothing left on the table and then swap to my IM and see what happens. But I never got the MSD dialed in to my standard of fairness so I didn't do the swap.

I will say that it leaves soft and my 1/8 isn't all that impressive so far. To be fair though I have no data for this kind of weather to compare it to. My gut feeling is that the MSD would be a tick faster mph wise in the 1/4 but the ET's would be pretty close. The same as usual. It will front half harder with my stuff and back half harder with the MSD. I am still only gaining 24mph on the back half. When I get home I will plan a night to get to the track and do a back to back.

I never seen any weird traction control problems while tc was turned off. Sometimes during a sharp turn and under acceleration I will see the stabilitrac light flash and it cuts power though.
They were letting TnT happen yesterday. Not sure about today. I would assume so though. Lots of guys were not in the classes and were just having fun.

Dang B, that "hell yeah" when I lost sounded a little harsh. LOL. It was a hell of a race. Jerry chopped me down at the tree. I just couldn't catch him. Do you know if there are any other vids of any of my runs that day?

It's all good man. I was actually more excited than you after the stripe for Jerry. He seemed so disappointed about the track and how the car was running all day I never saw him coming. LOL. He put it on my though. I was really happy to see him move on. I didn't realize how bad he got me off the line till I watched the video. Over and over and over and over.

I will say that with my current combo the ported MSD should be faster by a mph or so and possibly a tenth quicker in the 1/4. I do think my ported IM would out mph, 60ft and ET the ported MSD in the 1/8 and could be enough to almost match the ET in the 1/4. With how loose my converter is I need the top end shift extension of the ported MSD to mph on the top end. On the stock converter I am still going to lean towards the ported stocker being faster due to the tq gains over the ported MSD.

I didn't swap them at the Fest for a couple of reasons. I didn't have time to get all of my shift points and converter lock up dialed in for the ported MSD to make it a fair comparison. The drop in rpm from 2nd to 3rd was putting the MSD in a crappy spot for tq which was hurting the overall performance on the track. The ported stocker hits hard in that area and pulls right through the rpm drop. I also built a custom exhaust that is causing some of the ported MSD's perceived gains at this moment. I didn't get to run my ported stocker with the exhaust mods. The street logs I did on the ported stocker showed that there were top end gains made for sure.

My buddy and I are going to rent the track soon so I will have the time to get both combo's dialed in for a fair and impartial comparison between the two with them both being dialed in. So more to come on that side.
