I haven't seen a video on it, but man if it's that much work ahhh might have to hold off on this then lol.

Ya, you have to lower it a bit. But don't have to take it out. Lol

Still sounds like a headache. But, knowing my ego, I'm going to do this on my own anyways and not cough up the extra bucks to have it done right lol

I also want to switch out the shift knob. I was expecting MGW would have their Gen 6 version out by now but they don't. I have had both MGW and Hurst and loved them both but prefer the Hurst. The classic round shift knob in white fits my hand perfectly and I love the retro look.

Twisted Shifters is another source. MGW too, but wrote them off cause they take too long to come out with stuff. Good to know you like the thirst better. I'm about to put theirs in myself

pain or not all my mods get done by my two hands no matter what it is. I look at it like this....say pro charger $5800 + labor comes out to about 7g or more = you paid 7 g for a pro charger. full kooks exhaust 2600+labor you paid 3200-4g for that exhaust. Lowering the tranny a few inches to put in a $329 shifter? cake. or add labor and you paid over 500 for the shifter not 329 hahahaha I have 3 camaros and can't see myself parting with any of them due to our connection(via blood sweat and tears) and lots of new cuss words hahaha and of course all mods are done in the driveway on jack stands. Just my 2 cents

If anyone has their OEM shifter for sale PM me. I'm particularly looking for the part pictured below. Let me know if we can work something out.

Mine is my daily, so gotta pick a long weekend to do this one...Gotta remove exhaust, remove cross member and lower trans. Nothing too terrible, just takes time. That and planning to do full exhaust and headers soon anyway

Hello - just saw this thread. I like the old school type of knob, so I swapped out the stock one for this. I am very pleased with it.

If this is the Speed Dawg, can you tell me a little about how their adapter works for our cars? I have a really nice TWM shift knob that I had out of my old WRX that I would like to reuse, but am trying to understand how their adapter works before I dump some money.
