User error...I'm sure

Need a little help guys. So I just cracked the 1500 mile mark and have been itching to see what sort of numbers I could get. I made 2 runs using the 0-60 performance page (1st 4.9, 2nd 4.2). Then I went to use the 1/4 timer feature and it wouldn't work. I switched back to the 0-60 timer that too would not work. Only message I get is accelerate to start, and when I accelerate nothing happens. I am no longer receiving the "press select when ready" message. I am sure I am not doing something right, but I used it fine twice and now not so much. Any help would be appreciated. The picture captures the only message I am getting now.

If restart of the car didn't work, and holding Select didn't reset, then try disable and enable of that page to clear it.

You ran a legit 4.2 on the M6? That's pretty good. I need to stop using launch control.

I tried all of the above listed quick fixes and nothing. She's resting in the garage so I'll try again here in a few hours.

And yes I was super happy with that 4.2 0-60 time with the manual. Put it in track mode and turned of traction control. No launch control.

So after a few hours of sitting, the timers in the performance page are all working again. Odd. Anyone have any issues with this?

Do they only work in Competitive mode or something?

EDIT*** I just went through the manual and I see no reason why it wouldn't work, no dependencies on mode or anything. I haven't used it yet as I've been TRYING to wait until it has a few more miles on it.

The manual does mention you have to hit reset after a run to get it ready for the next run, but based on all your other information I'm assuming that's not the problem.

Same issue for 0-60 timer

I'm having the same issue and it has been continuing now for a while. I was able to use the timer maybe 3 or 4 times a month or so ago, but now I can't get it to work at all.
When I start the car and move through the menus to the 0-60 timer, it reads "pres SEL when ready" when I touch SEL it reads "vehicle must be stopped" then "accelerate to start". I accelerate and the timer doesn't start. I've tried to press a bunch of different button combinations but can't get this to work. The only way to get "press SEL when ready" back is by turning the car off then back on.

I'm sure it's operator error (at least I hope). Anyone have any other ideas?

Don't it figure...I've been having trouble for weeks...but when I post something about it, then I figure out how to do it.
Can't say I know what I was doing wrong previously, but it appears I know how to do it now. If only there were more places around my neighborhood to keep working on improving time...

Any body figure it out? I've had my 0-60 timer work several times. But the vast majority itbdoesnt give the select when ready prompt and just says accelerate but when I do the timer doesn't start.

Mine did the same but eventually cleared itself from sitting with ignition off.

Mine too. But after a couple tries it goes back to not working again. Guess it's heading to the dealer.

You have to come to a complete stop, then once the timer is ready it will say press select to start, then you press the button on the steering wheel and the timer goes ready. Then once you roll out the timer starts.

That's the problem. When it's not working once you stop the "press select when ready" does not appear.
