Well I think my whipple is broke

Just like the title says,
Today I drove the car noticed a sound from the engine bay came back home and sounds like the front bearing is bad! Sent a video to whipple waiting to hear back.

Yep the words coming out of my mouth are not for the general public. All started with seeing if the car would through a p1101 code today then the rest is history I only have about 33 miles on it since the blower was installed. My shop is pretty reasonable with cost to remove the and swap the unit thank god but the car will be in the shop for at least a few weeks I’m guessing

OH CRAP, But do you mean a po101 (MAF) code? Have you had a problem throwing that code before? I guess our blowers will have a race back to the factory. Was your pulley wobbling like mine? (vid in my build thread) Mine goes in the box tomorrow. But I what to dial indicate everything before. And again after when it comes back (everything from runout, gear lash, end play...etc)

This seems to be a scary trend. Hopefully they find a quick fix for you!

Hey Brett, the code i would randomly get is p1101 which is something I guess that needs to be turned off per Whipple and my turner. My pulley isn’t wobbling you can just hear it making a marble like sound at the front. I’m not sure got to post vid on here. I sent the vid to my turner who installed my kit and to whipple. My turner seems to agree it’s the bearing but we will have to see what Whipple says in the morning. Anyone know what their turn around time is for an issue like this?

How loud is it? I can hear something similar but only when the electric fans are off. I just thought it was the best noise like a loud timing set.

I'm told by Whipple, they'll turn it around one day. So, Fl to Ca and back, one day repair, two weeks down. Just like me, 2 weeks. P1101?? my book only goes to Po998, that code must be in "Your Screwed" book of codes. J/K, upside it didn't come apart like Robs. So you can use this time to address other things like me.

The code is for a diagnostic for the mass air it just needs to be turned off per whipple. I’m debating headers while I wait since it will be sitting at the shop for two weeks or maybe meth what do you think?

LOL.. Nothing that I know of. But I can hear some noise coming from that area so I was hoping to show everyone so comparing could happen. Mines definitely not quite.
