Anyone else with these mods? I would like to see a few more people before I decide to do this.

I ordered a MBRP Race catback system last Wednesday. It should arrive some time this week. I'll keep you posted on how it all comes out.

Yea that would be me, i got more sound from the RF than the sec cat deletes, Im think im just going to go with an axle back to get rid of the crush section of piping and for more sound and go with some hi flow cats.

I would just get a catback. Larger piping. Better sound. Down the road finish it up with headers with high flow cats.

I'm doing this in reverse. Starting with headers and green cats, and if the sound doesn't improve enough for me I'll look into doing a catback. Hope to get them installed in September and will record some before/after video.

Thanks, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I plan to do an upper pulley as well, so I'll probably just wait if I don't do it all at once.

For GM cars equipped with their awesome NPP exhaust like Z06s/ZL1s etc, the best way to do it is to just add long tubes and no cats/high flows. If you're pushing big power (North of 700 wheel), you'll want a cat back. Yes headers are more expensive, but they add more power than a cat-back. And no matter how what cat back you get, the sound will still be damped if the stock cats are still on there.

*NOTE* if you plan on adding boost, please do not get high flow cats. All cats fail at boost, some immediately, some in a year. Once they go, not only could you blow your engine not knowing that the cats are clogged...But you also have to replace your entire exhaust system now that melted crap is all down it. A very expensive mistake. (Add in the fact that catted systems are ~$200-$300 more up front.)

I've seen 3 people do it...2 CTS-V owners and 1 ZR1. Also, trying to "mod" your car without tuning it is stupid...You're either tuning or leaving it stock IMO. If you REALLY don't want to tune it, then I guess a cat back is your only option. So far it looks like the Stainless Works and the Corsa Xtreme system are the top choices for me.

You'll definitely need a tune for headers. Adding a pulley, you shouldn't even start the car until you get a new base table in it.

Obviously...I may not have been clear, if I do headers first and then the pulley later, I will likely wait to get the tune done until after the pulley is on. Running without a tune on headers for a bit will not hurt the car.
