Replacing brake pads, want to confirm...

The brake dust from the stock brake pads is just too much, so I'm going to replace the pads with Power Stop pads. I want to make sure I'm getting the correct ones. I have the 6 piston front brake kit on my 2SS.

Z17 Evolution Plus
17-1405 (front)
17-1718 (rear)

I was looking at Amazon and I'm unclear as to whether I order one for the front and one for the rear, or do I order two for the front and two for the rear? The 1405 pic shows two pair and the 1718 pic shows one pair.

Usually when buying pads, one box should be enough for each axle. But those are some really cheap prices for 4 pads...

I'd just buy one of each.

Those are the correct pad sizes for the 14.6" 6-piston front and normal SS rear, but IMO that pad compound isn't what I'd go with. Do the Z26's, that's what I run on the street. There's virtually no brake dust, and the pedal feel and initial bite are nearly the same as the stock Ferodo HP1000's.

Don't let the "extreme performance" name scare you away. They're most definitely a street pad.

+1 to the Z26 pads. Virtually no dust compared to the stock pads.

Also, get one of these to make it super easy.

Mercy, toast in 8 track laps? I'd always heard PowerStop pads were great. This is the 1st. post I've read where they did not perform.

Were those the Z26 or Track Day pads? I use Z26 for daily use and the Track Day pads for HPDE and haven't had issues.

So you used street / non-track pads on the track and they didn't perform?

Color me shocked...

If you get the correct ones, yes.
