It is an oiled filter, a very well done one. (no excess) you can get a recharge kit or new cone from cold air inductions..

So I am without a doubt 150 percent this is just a rebranded part. Everyone has all but confirmed it until now.

I convieniently lost one of the torx screws intended for securing the mass air sensor to the intake tube. I called CAI to get a replacement screw and had one sent to my house. It arrived and fit perfectly.. It also had a nipple on the screw head exactly as the ones from GM did. Once I informed the associate at CAI about where I got the intake from he quickly shut down and told me he couldn't talk about the GM part LOL. It was far too clear they were working together, but couldn't explain much more.

Shout out to the CAI team for not only producing an awesome intake, but great customer service as well.

I'll stick to my statement that it is a dry filter (based on mine and other input).

Hypersmurf - pm sent.

I just installed the gm intake. Didn't get a tune yet. It looks gorgeous but I have an aftermarket/loud exhaust and it makes it pop a bit more and seems to not have a deep a tone as with the stock air box. Just my two cents. If I don't sell it locally I'll sell it on here after July 4th.

Nice , mine should be here sometime tomorrow. Can't wait to install it. I'm just worried about finding a dealer knowledgeable enough to do the tune right. Lol

I'm going to do the install myself. I called Phil Smith Chevy on 441 just north of 595 yesterday. They told me they could do it no problem. I googled GMPP Chevy performance dealership and only two choices came up. Coral Gables automation Chevy or Phil smith. I setup an appointment with the dealership for Wednesday next week for the tune install. I'll keep you posted on my results.

Explain why this is not available in Canada (it says that in the fine print)? We have no emissions here in my Province.

Look up the Cold Air Inductions unit which this GM one is a licensed copy of.

Just installed the Cold Air Intake on my '16 convertible and it does sound great...but I'd love to know if it is just sound or does it really add any HP or Torque? Does anyone have any measurable results?

Jannetty did a test of CAI Rotofab and airade intakes and it showed rotofab had the best HP increase but then it goes back to the argument that CAI is designed to be added with headers, ported throttle body and some other add ons to get a real gain
