Kind of a rant. So after a year of extra saving finally trying to bring home a Hyper Blue 2LT Fully Loaded RS V6 Automatic with Black leather. BUT let me tell you up here in Northern Ohio trying to get the car you want is ridiculous. Dealerships are not budging on prices. Even with the GM discount, and rebates. They still want about 37,000 when 34,000 is my max out. I know it's the season that camaros sell, but with the okay sales you'd think they would try to get rid of current stock? Some of them have been here since last year! The only deal I found was up in Clio Michigan. For 33,995. No one wants to match that here. Maybe July or August I should wait for? When do dealerships try to clear current stock?? I always end up hanging up or walking out on them because they won't budge the prices.

Ohio dealerships dont seem to deal on these cars for whatever reason, even if you show them better deals and its winter I have always found a better price out of state.

I'm not the only one! They will not I wasted about 3 hours with one and they just would not budge. They will say "oh. That's because something is wrong with it that's why it's cheap, or we would be selling it at cost".

A few notes from someone who has spent decades in dealerships:
1. Bypass the sales staff completely, go straight to the sales manager....tell him you are willing to sign and contract immediately if the numbers are right 2. Try to buy/negotiate the last 10 days of the month 3. Have all your financing donee when you walk in, also run your credit score, tell the sales mgr that. 4. Your strength in negotating is always better in person, vs phone email, etc... |

Same experience up here in Canada around the Toronto area. Dealers wont budge. Since you live in Ohio, try buying during the winter months. Fewer sales during the winter means greater likelihood that they will budge on a price.

Sept-Dec for something like a Camaro. Your buying when demand is high - never good.
