I think this is going to be specific to each cam manufacture.

Double verified on Stock Cam NO LASH CAP.

Cams with larger lobes may vary so refer to your cam grinder recommendation.

JRE cams require a lash cap with LT4 pump to take up the difference in the low part of the lobe.

Our lash caps are specific to our cam specs.

Thank you, Ted for the confirmation.

Btw, about the clearance problem...

I got a mail the below from Whipple, but not clear where it is.

" That is correct the Supercharger rear gear cover will hit the larger pump line. Its only minor clearancing if you wanted to clearance it yourself or we can sell you the CTSV/LT1 rear Billet cover for $ 699.00"

Do you have any pics of it?

I am wondering if I can do it for myself with a simple tool like a grinder..

Thank you.

32% cam lobe + lash cap = failed pump

When my pump failed the housing bolt broke and it caused the attached line to rupture and a serious gas leak. I ditched the lash cap with the new pump. We have seen a few of the pump lifters fail and pumps fail with the increased cam lobe and lash cap.

Again it is going to depend on your cam manufacturer, all 32% lobes are not ground the same way.

Some will add to the peak some will take away from the low some will do both.

Our cams require a lash cap but a specific dimension, not just an off the shelf version.
