Big time bummer, sorry to hear it.

I bought my 2014 and 3 weeks later someone keyed a big Z into the drivers door. A month after I got it back from the shop a drunk girl rear ended it while it was parked outside my apartment.

Some insurers, like State Farm, do their own estimate and let you go anywhere to get it fixed. If the shop can't do it for the price set by the insurance company they either try to get it increased or decline the job. The latter is rare.

Car won't be fixed until July 5th. I'm pretty pissed off about it all the woman had to do was stop at a red light. But at least it's in time for camarofest

Car got fixed early. Then i went into wal mart and parked far away as always and I come to find a shopping cart up against my rear bumper with a dent and blue paint on my rear. Someone for no reason threw their cart into my car and I wasn't even parked near a cart return slot. I can't stand people makes me want to fix it and not even.drive it

Wow, that sucks. Not saying this happened but I have seen run away carts before. Usually in walmart parking lots as the people of walmart have ZERO Fuc's to give. Its my biggest fear of owning a nice car like this.

No chance that happened I literally parked 40 yards from the closest car. Someone really pathetic just decided to do it. Pretty sad, I've heard horror stories of people in nice cars being targeted just never thought it'd happen to me you know?

Blue paint? Is it possible somebody drove into your car and then tried to cover it up with the cart for some obscure reason? Check for cameras in the parking lot pointing towards where you were parked. The police can ask the store for footage from the time you entered and left the store to determine what happened and if the perp is identifiable (hopefully tags are in view) then they can press charges/make them pay for it.

It's a long shot for sure, but you never know. It'll also show you exactly what happened. Good luck!

This was one of my fears with this car, damage, for whatever reason, while parked. It's why I installed cams, front, back, both sides. They only get turned off once I tuck her in for the night.

Most think it's overkill, but the peace of mind it gives me is totally worth it, IMO.

That really sucks about the 2nd incident, OP. At this point I would just buy some gaffer's tape and begin affixing bubble wrap or rubber parking guards to the trunk and sides. However, if people really are spiteful, it will just attract even more attention.

I always park where it's an empty part of the lot and near as many non-car obstacles as possible (eg: curbs, dumpsters) to avoid runaway objects or people backing up and not looking where they're going.

illegal, they can recommend you go but you are not required to go where they say.
