Fixing to close a deal on a '17 1ss and wondering if I could get the dealer to include a set of the recaro seats in the deal.

Unlikely... Those aren't cheap and it's not like a stripe package or an oil change or something..

Unless your 1SS is a 1LE and they're throwing in the Recaros like "hey, we'll even include brakes!!"

Let me reword it. What I meant was could it be an option added to a 1ss or is it only meant for a 1le?

The Order Guide is confusing with that..

For ZL1, they're included (S), non-optional.

1LS Coupe, 2LT Coupe have A1 = Requires A1X V6 1LE Track Pakage

1SS Coupe has A2 = Requires (H1T) Jet Black Interior. Included with (A1Y) SS 1LE Track Package

2SS Coupe has A3 = Requires(H0Y) Jet Black interior trim.

The seat trims are :

Though, FWIW, chevy.com lets me build a 2017, 1SS, 8-speed automatic and add Recaros.... So, I'd say yes.

You can option recaros without 1LE. The price is $1195 I believe.

If its a car that is already on the lot, good luck. GM doesn't have the Recaros as an accessory and if anything needs to be programmed, GM will not assist the dealer. GM only sells parts to those seats at the moment, no complete assemblies. The seat back cover ALONE retail for almost $1400 EACH. Def. not getting them "thrown in".

IMO, either take a sweet deal on the 17 and wait for GM to offer them as a package, or order an 18 with the Recaros.

Not even close. This is the 17 so there is no Recaro add-on option.

If you really want the recaros, find a 1LE. Very much worth the price of admission.

There are some 1LE owners that do not like the Recaro Seats. They say they hug them too much. Me personally I love them!

You may be able to trade your front and back seats with someone who hates them. As long as you have the black interior then I am sure they will be fine with it.

I thought I did see an option where Recaro Seats are $1195 Additional unless it is a ZL1 or 1LE.

Remember:
2017+ ZL1 - Heated/Vent Recaro's
2018+ ZL1 1LE - Heated/Vent Recaro's
2018+ 2SS 1LE - Heated/Vent Recaro's
2017+ 1SS 1LE - non heated/vent Recaro's

GM eventually came out with Recaro's as an accessory for the 5th gen that included a BCM reflash for the heated seats. I would imagine they will come out at some point for the 6th gen.

I have seen multiple SS with Recaros and without 1LE. Becky's dealership in particular is good about ordering them.

I don't see the need to spend $6500 for the whole 1LE package if all you want are the seats.
