Yeah, no doubt you can do it, but for me, having an extra set of hands took out the probability of me dropping it and screwing it all up.

Tried to install mine yesterday. Even though the text printed on the tape SAID 3M VHB, it didn't stick very well. May have been old. I have more ordered.

3m vhb tape is pressure activated. You need to apply pressure for a short while. The longer you apply, the stronger the initial bond ...to a point.

It takes a couple days for the tape adhesion to reach it's max, it'll slowly increase in strength as it "cures"

But yea, you wanna make sure there's no wax/grease/coating residue before applying.

I'm going to order some. The packs they sent were almost dry. No use at all. Got the tape, now waiting for the adhesion promoter.

Just got mine in and have not installed it yet. I have to pick up 3M adhesion promoter..

Shows 3 M tape and seems to be a decent quality product.

Hey, I see they are putting 3 strips of the 3M tape now. Mine came with 2, but i did add 2 strips to each end about 3 inches long. Had mine on since Sunday. Car has been sitting in the sun while at work. So far so good. It is very solid.
