Unplugged wire on tranny

Per my photo. Put my brand new ZL1 up on my lift today to see what it looked like underneath. Found a connection on the manual trans unplugged and a wire with connector hanging loose, right next to this sensor. So I plugged it in. It was a stretch to make this connection, the wire is kinda tight. The connector and the sensor connections were a perfect match. Anyone else know what this sensor is? and should it be connected?

Not sure how long you have had the car, but you would think they would have seen that doing the PDI at the dealer. Maybe fluid temp?

You would also think that with this unplugged it would have been throwing a warning light or something up to indicate an issue. I'd take it back to the dealer to have them run a test and ensure it is actually working properly. If that is a low fluid sensor, you definitely want that thing to work properly if and when you actually need it.
